As many of you will know, we have not been able to run the Cratoule Summer School in France for the past two years. We have plans in place for a week-long course from August 6th to 13th 2022.
In the meantime, we welcome applications to a Cratoule taster weekend at Benslow Music in Hitchin.

Accommodation and Food
Benslow is a delightful place to make music, with spacious music rooms, good pianos, comfortable accommodation and delicious and plentiful home-cooked food. There are a limited number of en suite rooms with options for single or shared accommodation.
Course Content
Participants should arrive in time for tea on the Friday evening and the course will end with an informal concert at tea on the Sunday afternoon.
There will be lots of opportunities to sing during the weekend and singers are free to bring songs, arias and oratorio they would like to work on. We recommend at least 4 different pieces of repertoire.
Darquise Bilodeau has special expertise in French song and Pippa Dames Longworth brings her extensive knowledge of opera and performance. Brian Parsons enjoys working with singers bringing song, opera or oratorio. We have three wonderful pianists for the weekend.
Fees
The cost of the course will be £425 that includes all tuition, accommodation for two nights and all food from Friday tea until Sunday tea. For those wanting single accommodation with en suite facilities, a supplement of £15 per night (£30) will be charged. For those wanting a double or twin with en suite facilities, there will be a supplement of £5 per night (£10).
