Following the success of the course in 2019 we are delighted to announce that the Cratoule Summer School will run again from Saturday August 8th to Saturday August 15th 2020.

We are fortunate enough to have assembled an exceptional Staff Team that will include:

Darquise Bilodeau
Pippa Dames Longworth
Michael Harper
Panaretos Kyriatzidis

Brian Parsons
Marc Verter
Alexander Wells

The course is designed for experienced solo singers who are keen to improve their performance skills, whether in art song, opera, oratorio or cabaret. Participants are invited to bring at least six songs or arias to work on individually during the week with our tutors, and are also encouraged to bring duets and ensembles. Furthermore, we will offer coaching on a few opera scenes (details to be determined) as part of the mix. Tuition, including individual work on vocal technique, will take place in a supportive and non-competitive atmosphere, with regular performance opportunities throughout the week, culminating in a concert on the Friday evening to a local audience.

There are no auditions but only 24 places are on offer this year, so do send your applications in good time. A small number of bursaries will be available for young singers of conservatoire standard.

Updates will be posted on the website from time to time.
